Apparently, Bed Bath & Beyond hates babies. Maybe they have a thing against carrying baby stuff. Or perhaps they feel that parents shouldn't catch a break on their pricing.

We got one of those ubiquitous 20% off coupons from BBB. We were going to use the coupon to buy an ERGO, so out of curiosity, I read the fine print. See if you can spot the trend:

Twenty-one (21) out of forty-five (45) are baby products... you could even argue that the other brands have something to do with babies. When Bean graduates from the Moby wrap to the ERGO, guess where we won't be buying it? Where's the love, Bed Bath and Beyond?

They are having a huge baby sale at TJMaxx/Marshalls right now (at least out here) they may have some of the stuff on that list at even deeper discounts...

And shame on them... I wonder what the deal is
 

Seriously. If you look at it, baby stuff is just shy of half that list. However, in the store baby gear makes up what? *maybe* 10% of their inventory? It makes the disparity even more glaring.

Bed, Bath and Baby-Hating Bastards...it doesn't roll off the tongue quite like BBB, but it's more fitting!
 

Hmmm...I guess 20% of zero is still zero.
 

There's good news and bad news.

Bed Bath etc. is owned by the same people as Buy Buy Baby, and they cross-honor the coupons. So you can get a discount on baby stuff with that coupon.

The bad news is that there's yet another list of excluded items for BuyBuyBaby, including the things many parents spend the most money on, viz. diapers, wipes, & formula.
